Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque

The Mosque was built between 1603 to 1619 and is a masterpiece of Iranian architecture. The mixture of its magnificent shape and rich interior and exterior tiles made the mosque the most recognizable tourist sites of Isfahan.

Sheikh Lotfollah mosque was designed to be private, that is why it is small and has neither minarets nor courtyard.

Vank Cathedral

The holy Savior cathedral or Church of Saintly Sisters which is widely known as Vank Cathedral is an Armenian church built between 1648 – 1655 in the Armenian neighborhood of Jolfa, Isfahan. The luxurious interior is richly decorated with paintings full of life and color, including martyrdoms and demons.

You will be astonished by seeing the detail and depth of color. Due to its magnificent interior design, Vank Cathedral is one of the most famous tourist destinations in Isfahan.

There is also a museum in this complex that shows the Armenian genocide.

Ali Qapu Palace

It has six floors and 38m tall at the end of the 16th century as a royal residence with its impressive elevated terrace. The terrace affords a stunning perspective over the Naqsh-e Jahan Square.

The main highlight of Ali Qapu palace is the music hall on the upper floor. The ceiling is designed with the shapes of vases and wine containers to enhance the acoustics. This specific craftsmanship, considered to be one of the finest examples of Persian art.

Khaju Bridge (Pol-e Khaju)

The finest of Esfahan’s bridges due to its pleasing construction idea and it is still working fine after 350 years of being constructed.

Khaju Bridge is decorated with beautiful tile work and artistic paintings. There is an octagonal pavilion in the center of the bridge that Shah (King) has once sat on and enjoyed the view.

The beautiful Bridges in Isfahan such as Khaju and Sio Se Pol are the best place to meet locals. Musicians and singers get together under the bridges and you can have fun with them.

Chehel Sotoun Palace

An excellent example of the Persian garden which literally means “Forty Columns” in Persian language, inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, built between 1614 and 1647, for entertainment and reception purposes.

The central hall of the Chehel Sotoun Palace contains spectacular paintings that present the historical events of different periods with the colorful and golden design.
