Iran Tourist Visa Important Tips
* Only the authorized agencies can apply for Iran Tourist Visa. all nationalities can apply for Iran Tourist Visa except Israeli passport holders.
* Iran tourist visa is valid for 3 months and travelers can stay in Iran for 15 to 30 days depending on the type of visa they receive. Of course, this period can be extended by 60 to 90 days if the police office of foreign nationals agrees.
* To apply for all types of visas, your passport should have at least 6 months of validity, beyond your actual travel date.
* The validity duration of this code for receiving your Iran Tourist visa fee is one month since the issuance time. Then you have three months’ time to enter Iran. And the important point is that exiting Iran must be done before the expiration of this three months validity.

Tourists can simply travel to Iran by obtaining an airport visa and receive their visa at one of the international airports upon arrival.

Iran Visa on Arrival Conditions:
- It is important to mention that all nationalities except the nationals of 9 countries, America, England, Canada, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Somalia, Bangladesh, Colombia, and Jordan can receive Iran airport visas.
In addition, Iraqi citizens can only get visas from Mashhad airport.
*The presence of the visa applicant and its original passport with a validity of at least 6 months and without any damage or objection when obtaining a visa is required.
*Original and a copy of travel insurance, the insurance is mandatory for all foreign nationals to enter Iran (issuance of this insurance policy is also possible at the airport)
*Having the confirmation form from the electronic visa system is necessary, which is sent to the applicant’s email after agreeing to issue the visa.
*Due to the fact that foreign bank cards are not used in the country, travelers need cash in one of the foreign currencies: preferably Euros to pay for visa fees.
Citizens of 9 countries CAN NOT get a visa on arrival they need to apply for and receive authorization code through an authorized agency or at the Iranian embassy/consulate in their native country.
Pakistan, Afghanistan, Somalia, Bangladesh, Jordan, Colombia, Canada, UK, and US.
It is safer to apply before your travel to Iran via the valid agencies to get the authorization code and the visa collection place which can be an embassy or one of the International Airports in Iran which makes the time procedures easier, shorter and safer.
Sometimes airport offices paperwork to process your visa can take about 4 hours or even more if there is a large group waiting or during high season.

The list of countries that can travel to Iran without a visa:
Citizens of Syria, Turkey, Armenia (90 days), Lebanon and Bolivia (30 days), Azerbaijan, Malaysia, Oman, Venezuela (15 days), Georgia (45 days), Egypt (20 days), and China (21 days) are the countries includes the visa cancellation law and they can enter and reside in Iran without obtaining a visa.
Nationals of India (if they enter Iran via the air border), UAE, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Tunisia, Mauritania, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Mauritius, Seychelles, Indonesia, Brunei Darussalam, Japan, Singapore, Cambodia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Brazil, Peru, Cuba, Mexico, Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Croatia, Republic of Belarus and Russia (as a group) can also travel to Iran without a visa.
Keep in mind that the visa cancellation law will only apply to passengers if the passenger enters Iran from his own country, otherwise they must go to the consulate of the country he is in to enter Iran.
According to the law of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, citizens of Afghanistan and Bangladesh can apply for a visa from Iran only if they have a residence card or a passport from a country other than their own country.
Iran Tourist Visa for US, UK, and Canadian
The process of obtaining an Iran visa for the holders of USA, UK, and Canadian passports is different from other countries, which may take between 1 and 3 months, and the applicants must provide more documents.
(Ministry of Foreign Affairs) does not allow US, UK and Canadian passport holders to travel to Iran independently, they must be accompanied by a confirmed official tour guide during their travels in Iran, no matter as part of a tour group, or on a custom-tailor-made individual tour.
